Saving Money While Renting In The Big City

Saving money can be a challenge, especially if you are renting in a big city. By being creative and smart, you can put money away in spite of the high cost of living. One of the best ways to save money is to cook all of your meals at home. Eating out every day is very expensive and should be avoided. Another way to save money is to use public transportation. Gas prices are high and if you don’t have to use your car, park it and take the bus, or walk. It’s a lot cheaper and you can count the exercise as an added benefit. Movies are expensive, especially when they first hit the theaters. You could save money by waiting for the movie to hit the dollar show, or buy the DVD. If you absolutely have to see the movie as soon as it comes out, don’t buy anything to eat at the theater. Theater snacks can add anywhere from $10 to $30 dollars to the cost of your movie. Finally, use the internet to pay bills whenever possible. The cost of stamps can add up fairly quickly, especially if you have a lot of bills to pay.
